Company Overview
eTrack Products Pty. Ltd. is a private Australian company founded in February 1999 to develop, distribute and support the 'eTrack' tracking software.
The company started by selling to software companies and IT departments of large corporates such as banks and insurance companies and within the last four years expanded into a wide diversity of industries such as building professionals (eg: architects, engineers, designers), oil companies, crop trials and service industries etc.
The company has offices in Sydney and Melbourne Australia and has partnered with resellers in China, UK and New Zealand. The long term relationship with Object Consulting Pty Ltd (150 staff) in Australia helps to provide processes, deployment, training, account management and development.
Company Processes
eTrack Products Pty Ltd extensively uses the eTrack product to run its business. It uses best practice agile software development techniques that include daily internal builds, peer testing and a feature driven design (FDD) process. Use-case scenario techniques are used for requirements modeling and every feature, enhancement, customisation and defect since inception has been documented. All staff are trained in the Capability Improvement Pty Ltd requirements modeling processes.
Customers typically start with an out box solution. However, due to innovative software architecture, almost everything in eTrack may be tailored without coding by just configuring the database and security options.
Each release comes with a complementary Maintenance Utility program that automatically upgrades whatever version a customer is using.
