Scheduling and Resource Management
eTrack Benefits
eTrack's flagship feature that sets it apart from competitors is its world class scheduling and resource management feature called the 'Gantt Sheet'. Benefits include...
- Light weight, easy to use scheduling, ideal for tracking many projects together.
- Graphical Roll up of all projects to any level.
- See if projects are on time and budget by viewing forecasts and plans together.
- Quickly see if staff are over or under allocated.
- Convenient single screen giving immediately feedback of resource usage when projects are changed.
- Combines accurate planning of hours per day per resource like a Spreadsheet, with the power of a Gantt Chart that uses dependencies to show effects of delays on future stages.
- No double keying since fully integrated with timesheets, project management, accounts etc.

Plan a Project
Above shows the eTrack Gantt Sheet being used to plan a new project. On the left roles are assigned to project stages and the blue bars represent hours per day. The hours in each cell can be edited and if a bar is moved, dependent stages are also moved while skipping weekends and holidays and preserving leads and lags.
New Stages are created and resources assigned by simple drag and drop. The plan column is an easy way of entering estimates while watching the Total $ and Margin $ columns.

View Resource Allocations
While creating the schedule you can watch the changes on the availability of your staff, roles and equipment. They will go red if over allocated and you can expand to see their work.
You can also view a summary of allocation and utilisation etc across the group of resources you have selected.

Roll Up all Project Schedules
As well as viewing a single project, you could view all 'Active' projects together or any other grouping of your projects. Each project can be expanded to show the stages and resources. Dependencies with leads and lags can be created between projects in the same way as between stages and tasks.
The blue bars are the original plans, the red bars are the estimates to complete and the green bars are the actual hours from the timesheet shown graphically. As timesheets are entered, the green bars (actual hours) increase and the red bars (estimates) decrease. Delays can be seen by comparing with the blue bars (budget).

All in One
All of this is visible together in one eTrack tab! As you change schedules so you can watch the resource allocations and future projections change. All buttons and menus are accessible directly from the tab which means minimal training is required. The Gantt Sheet is completely integrated with the rest of eTrack to ensure accuracy and single entry of data.
