The following sections give examples of standard and custom reports.
Standard Reports
eTrack has over 30 standard reports. Each has different options on how to run it and each can be run for a Project, a Client, a group of Projects, a Builder, a staff member or any other point in eTrack 'tree'. The result is very large number of possible reports.
Budget Report...
For example, the Budget Report below has been run for all active Projects with the option to show a single line roll up of each Project. It shows hours and dollars for the original plan, the actual hours from the timesheet, estimates to complete (ETC), and the calculated forecast (actual+estimate) and variance (plan-forecast).

Another popular report is the Activity Report that shows all time booked by staff. The example below shows one row for every timesheet day booked by each staff member between selected dates for the Client Mr and Mrs Blogs. It has included options to show hours, comments, the charge rate and fee. Examples of how this report is used includes:

Also from the Account Sheet screen an Invoice Report can be created showing everything that is ready to be billed for this period with past, current and future amounts.

Custom Reports
Users can create their own custom reports within eTrack and make them available to all or chosen staff members through the simple to use 'Report Sheet'. To run a custom report the user simply selects a node in the tree such as a Project, a group of Projects, a Client or themselves, and selects the report to run. The user can filter or sort the results and view the details of any row by right clicking the mouse.

The screen below shows how Custom Reports are created. Any SQL query can be defined and any field can be selected to be seen in the results. Headers can be changed, sort criteria defined and colours added for 'traffic light' effects.

Create reports using external product
|
All reports, both standard and custom, can be exported to many different formats such as Excel, PDF, HTML etc. You may then manipulate the data further such as in a spreadsheet to use pivot tables, create graphs or import it into other products. If you wished to create your own reports outside etrack with another product, eTrack has the ability to create a 'Reporting Database'. This utility is configurable to create flat database tables that means you don't need to know about the eTrack database model. Also on request we will give you full access to the eTrack database. |
Commissioned Reports

eTrack Products Pty Ltd is very willing to create new reports for you. If you would like a new option adding to an existing report (such as different grouping), or a new report written, etrack staff will work with you to model and specify the requirements, provide a quote and implement the report for a fixed fee. No charge is made for the specification or testing and we go 50/50 on the development cost.
